The lesson that the story, "Wooden Bowls" , teaches us is that never just push something or someone aside just because of its flaws. This relates to cares because of the words responsibility, empathy, cooperation, and self control. This story has to do with responsibility because it is your responsibility to take care of your father, he lives in your house, so you should satisfy his needs. The word empathy means a lot for this story because he is your father, you can't just let him sit by himself. He took care of you when you were younger, and you should take care of him now. Cooperation comes into this story because you have to cooperate with him, he might have flaws, but they are minor, you can learn to live with them. Lastly, self control, you should be able to control yourself, and your feelings/emotions. Him being your father, and being elderly and fragile, it is probably really important to control yourself before anyone else.
